A fragile object that was once beautiful on the outside prior to breaking.
As the sun rises this morning and the day starts a new, what a great time to pause and just simply say thank you God!
This morning as I was having my coffee and quiet time with my Creator, I was admiring the tree in our living room. The tree with twinkling lights and beautiful ornaments.
I have to say it was very lovely.
My mind thought back to the actual assembling of the tree and a few of the beautiful glass ornaments that were casualties this year. Stay with me for a moment. I thought about how we have some of the same characteristics as those broken ornaments. So fragile but beautiful. The difference between us and those ornaments is... God can take our brokenness, when we hit the floor hard, and shatter into many pieces, and restore us to better than before. So the next time you see a broken ornament, thank God.
He is the expert at restoring broken, to beautifully broken! For that I am thankful!
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
