To fully recognize the beauty in the tiny flaws and cracks we experience in life.
Oh happy day Champions! When Jesus washed my sins away! I believe there is a song with a verse that contains those words. Listen closely this morning 🤫
God gave me a simple message this morning. " Appreciate the imperfections!"
I had to pause and really take a personal inventory. Here's the thing, none of us are perfect...so why do we, much too often expect perfection? It could be in ourselves, in others. Then this crazy analogy was given to me. As I was doing my morning devotion, I looked down at the hardwood floors in my living room where the tree is up and lights illuminating the room. There were scuffs and worn spots on my floor. In that moment my heart was so full. Stay with me, I haven't totally lost it. The hardwood floor, reminded me that family had walked on those floors, that our dog ran to and frow on those floors. Many Christmas trees were assembled on those floors. Babies crawled on those floors. Friends visited on those floors. So you see, though there may be some scuffs, some worn spots, there was much love that crossed those floors. As I teared up because of the beauty in the imperfection, I thanked God for the moments and wouldn't change it for a minute.
Today, embrace the imperfections. Even if it's an imperfection that you see in someone because I bet you there is something beautiful there as well, if you only have eyes to see. Praying God sends many blessings to you and yours today! Look for the imperfections.❤
For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
James 3:2
