Demonstrating a soothing presence while resisting the urge to feel agression or acting rude towards someone or a particular situation. The absence of arrogance. A mature level of understanding.

Good morning Champions. Shall we gently step into this beautiful Wednesday we have been blessed with?

My mind went to many different facets this morning. A whirlwind you might say? However, once I cleared all the clutter so I could focus, I arrived at gentle. I think with gentleness comes understanding and patience. Do we really know what another is going through? Do we really know how they are feeling, processing, coping? Do we truly care? Stay with me for a minute...we certainly could know bits and pieces of a story but let's face it, we use our own life experiences and feelings when dealing with others. Is that a bad thing? I don't believe so. However, it's not a complete package. You see, over time I have learned that...the way I view something, may not be the way someone else sees that same situation. That's where gentleness comes in. You certainly don't want to be that friend that comes in like a wrecking ball everytime. Interestingly enough, none of us have it all figured out.

Please don't confuse being gentle with always telling someone what they want to hear either. Sometimes, we don't even have to say anything. Our presence, love, and understanding is all that is required. In a world that is constantly screaming...

<I challenge you as I am myself>

to whisper a little more. Be Gentle!

To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.

Titus 3:2
