Before the fruit... "Appreciating the journey"

The process of blossoming into what you were predestined to be.

A simple blackberry bush in the back of our yard brought me to this morning's topic. Looking at the bush and knowing that fruit will soon come in time, makes my heart happy. I find it intriguing that so many life lessons are found in nature. There is a time for everything to blossom, a time to bear fruit. Living in a world that wants everything immediately, sometimes we forget that things take time. The day we plant the seed or that the seed is planted isn't the day that we make the cobbler. Staying connected to the vine and absorbing the proper nutrients is essential to the finished product that we will become. The next time you walk by a blackberry bush, I challenge you to ask yourself if you are ripe for the picking? Can something beautifully tasteful be made out of your fruits?
