Being soft...

Having gentle or delicate interactions with others, while demonstrating an assured confidence in oneself that doesn't require or support you being harsh with another.
Good Monday morning Champions! May today bring you a softness, a gentleness, like a new fallen snow.
As I sit and take in the morning, my soul is at peace and I thank God for a new day. A day that brings promise and purpose.
Landing on softness this morning. Boy this world can be something else if we allow it to be, cant it? Not in a positive way either.
That's where that softness, that gentle whisper comes into play. Sometimes you encounter the noise. It could be in a loud person seeking to be heard and typically not with the best of communication styles. A grumble or harsh comment. A sinacal statement, possibly words said to take a jab at someone. I have come to ask myself when I encounter one with the aforementioned description, how should I respond? Gentleness turns away wrath. Now here's the kicker, I have also been the deliverer of comments on occasion, that I wished I could have taken back the moment they parted my lips. Words are something once spoken are out there. Self control is a fruit of the spirit, and if you're like me...one that requires daily practice and commitment.
Wrapping things up this morning with this...
The heart, that's where the rubber meets the road. If the desires of our heart is to produce a softness in a cruel world, God will provide us with what is needed to accomplish that goal. So goes our hearts, so goes our lives. May your day bring you sweet inner peace that allows you to sprinkle a little softness as you go!
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
