Sympathetic consciousness of others, while seeking insight and practicing good judgment.
Lifting you up on this Tuesday morning Champions! May you walk with compassion today. I encourage you to listen today to what someone has to say, to seek understanding verses preparing your response before they ever finish speaking.
Two words bubbled up in my mind this morning.
"COMPASSION & UNDERSTANDING"
As I was reflecting on both words, it is really hard to have one without the other. Then I had to ask myself, as I am going to ask you, a few questions...
Do we seek to understand others? Do we show compassion for them based on how we feel, or because we truly listened to what they had to say? Does our background, circumstances, and beliefs determine the level of compassion and understanding that we are willing to give? I'm certainly not here to judge or pass my opinion on you. My post this morning is more to be thought provoking. To make you and me think. I've found that too often the need to be right, overshadows the message that one is trying to deliver. I thank God that he shows me compassion and understanding daily. I thank God that he listens to my most inner thoughts and provides me with direction. Champions, I will close with this, "What are you seeking today?" Take a really good look around, and answer that question honestly for yourself. I pray that inner peace is the answer.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32
