To do more than what's required. To go above and beyond, exceeding expectations.
Positive thoughts coming your way for a Friday that is over the top and productive Champions!
As I reflect on yesterday as it was Thanksgiving, I smile and even get the warm fuzzies inside. This year has brought so much uncertainty for so many. Being grounded in God's word and allowing him to guide me, has brought me peace and gotten me through these trying times.
So I landed on going the extra mile this morning. Let me back up, connecting it with Thanksgiving and the preparation going into planning the meal. Paying attention to the small details and focused on others and going the extra mile. However, trying not to get caught up in the Mary and Martha debate. Paying attention to the details but breathing and enjoying the company and moments of family first. Shew, that was a long segway to get me to this point in this morning's topic...
When we love something or someone we will go the extra mile and put in the effort to show it. Our relationships grow, when we go the extra mile for others without expecting things in return.
The most important relationship we will ever have is the one with Jesus Christ and lean in...
He gave us everything in return. He went the extra mile for each one of us. This resonated in my spirit this morning on so many levels. I don't know about you but I think he deserves us going that extra mile for him. I encourage you to share Jesus with others. To tell them the good news and the greatest story ever written! Go the extra mile, he's worth it!
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
Matthew 5:41
