Friendly, seeking or enjoying the companionship of others. The opposite of being isolated.
Happy Friday Champions! May your day bring you encounters with others that are positive and uplifting!
Thinking on being social this morning. Weighing the pros and the cons. I have to say, I was able to list more pros than cons. Stay with me for a moment. Defining social... I think you have to take social media out of the word. Let's face it, the news portion isn't always the truiest portion. On both scales, people's personal lives and current events in our world today. However, being gregarious has it's rewards. New relationships, joy, sharing. We are the ones that determine how we choose to be social. Possibly, thinking back to a simpler time, when we were really interested in getting to know someone because of who they were, instead of what we saw on the outside. We all come with stuff. Nobody is perfect or unblemished. Sometimes the brokenness and imperfections are just the things that makes us relatable to others. Leaving you with this, tread cautiously on social media but be gregarious face to face! Relationships can be pretty incredible! Just my two cents.
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Colossians 4:5-6
