A solid functional structure, with a history and ability to tell a story.

May your Thursday bring you joy and contentment as you go about your day!

A picture of an old barn got me to thinking. Once my mind captured the beauty and work that the barn stood for, I knew I had to pause and reflect on the why. It's amazing how God can use so many different facets to teach us and work through us.

An old barn...the representation of passing time, hard work, memories, and yes family. Each one special and unique according to their purpose and the work put into them. I have to admit, I now have a fascination with old barns and oh the stories they tell. Life and living conducted in these structures. Sweat, tears, and joy inside the walls. I've heard of barn burnings but never really appreciated the significance. Think about it, the structure has become weak and possibly a hazard, so a barn burning takes place. This is almost like a going home ceremony. Reflecting on the memories and times of what once was. The history and lives touched by and through this building. I think we could learn a lot from an old barn. We just have to look deeper than the superficial to appreciate the good bones that support the structure. Be blessed today and take a moment just to reflect and be thankful for your memories and allow them to resonate through you to fully live and learn today!

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Phillipians 4:19
