It's all about me! (NOT)

To be so wrapped up in one's own self that your view of the world, of people, of your relationships, have to be centered around you and how they affect you and make you feel.

Ouch,ouch, and ouch again! It's all about me... Champions this thought process is a very lonely place to be. No disrespect being sent this morning and certainly not judging. I selected this topic to prayerfully help us to reach a level of understanding and yes compassion. Reaching a level of seeking to understand the why behind a behavior verses the acting out of the behavior itself is huge.

Sometimes, we can learn so much just from consciously observing. Just to clarify, the culture we live in may lead us to believe the phrase "it's all about me!" Is the way to go, but that is the furthest thing from the truth.

Humility is a sweet, not to mention a best practice to follow. I will take it one step further, a spirit of servant hood is a sign of maturity. So the next time you are in the presence of an all about me mentality, pause, acknowledge what you are dealing with and pray for that person. They may be closer to you than you think. Could be a friend, family member, co worker, etc. And yes, at times, just might be the one looking back in the mirror.

It's time we show those we interact with, something different. Time for our responses to be with a WWJD mindset.

To make a difference, we are called to be different. Walk today with compassion and seek to understand! Shine bright and let Jesus do a good work in and through you! With Him, we can!
