Being genuine, unaffected and honest. Humble but kind; the absence of fake or phony.
Praying for you Champions as the morning takes flight!
Keeping it simple this morning, keeping it real. A new year is knocking on the door and this last week in 2020 brings a time of reflection and prayer. Looking back over the year and lifting God's name on high for getting us through it. This year came with a realness like none other. The layers peeled back on so much and just a simple appreciation for the smaller, simpler things in life. Funny how humbling 2020 really was.
So, what are we going to do with those life lessons the aforementioned year brought to fruition? Will we walk in a new way? Will we practice humility on a daily basis? Will we be a bit more honest and compassionate? Will we keep it real in our actions and not just lip service? Hum? I suppose time will tell. Checking ourselves is where it begins. During my reflection time this morning, some questions resonated in my spirit. Here goes... Can you be a better friend? Can you be a better wife, mother, employee, what ever hat you're wearing? Can you walk away from conversations that are condemning or gossiping about others? Can you give more and take less? Can you look deeply into your heart and walk in a way that pleases God regardless of the reaction from man, including family? Truth is, in my strength probably not consistently. However, in God's strength I can do all things. You can as well. Here's the kicker, do we want to change and walk in a realness that is full of joy, peace, and purpose? The choice begins with each one of us. We can remain on that hamster wheel of life this world throws at us, or we can say enough. I encourage you to keep it real. I'm going to do my best to take realness to the next level in my life. My prayer for the new year is to walk in a genuine way that will make a difference for my eternal home! Let go of the facade Champions and you will be able to allow God to accomplish his will in your life. Just keeping it real!
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
