May grace and goodness be your driving force today Champions! I encourage you to actively listen to what others have to say as you go about your day! Allow God to be your filter and your guide.
Reminiscing a bit this morning. Thinking back to those days at my grandparents house, sitting on their front porch. So many sweet memories about that front porch. Neighbors would visit and just sit and talk for a while. The sound of swinging in the old porch swing... I can still close my eyes and hear it. Waving to passers by from that porch and knowing each person. I now realize how precious that time was on that old front porch.
So fast forwarding to today...
Our world moves very fast. We have so many gadgets to save us time but seem to be so disconnected from the things that truly matter. Can we honestly say, we know our neighbors? Are we aware of their needs, their accomplishments, and even their struggles? Do we even care to know? It is so easy to use words like community and HOA'S. Are we so consumed with keeping up with the Jones' that we have lost sight of the people behind their names?
Just something to think about this morning.
I know my quiet time this morning stung a little bit. I know I can do better. I encourage you to look down into your heart and see if anything I have shared this morning, is relatable to you. It's high time we stop and quit playing neighborhood and truly be neighborly. Just my two cents, I suppose.
I will leave you with this...if you're ever in my neck of the woods, please swing by and I'll save you a seat on that old front porch! I have nothing but love for you! God bless!
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Colossians 4:6
