A set of guiding principles we live by. Most basic beliefs, concepts and attributes of an individual.
Seek out the treasure in this beautiful Tuesday that we have been given Champions. It's there, we just need to have eyes to see it!
Pausing this morning on personal philosophy. I have to admit, the topic this morning, has me thinking. Our beliefs and guiding principles... Where do they begin? Where do they come from? Have they changed over time? I think some change and some are planted so deeply from our background and circumstances. In some instances it could be a great thing, and possibly not so great in others. Too often we absorb the beliefs and guiding principles of our parents or other influences from a very young age. Catch is, if they were positive and productive, and most importantly God breathed we are very fortunate. However, too often.. they are based on opinions of others instilled in us. This is where God's word becomes so important. Digging into what it says and letting it guide and direct your steps. When we ask God for knowledge, he will provide it. I encourage you to take that personal inventory today. Ask yourself those tough questions. Then be prepared to listen for that still small voice.
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
1 Peter 3:15
