Pride

An inordinate self esteem, an unreasonable feeling of superiority as to ones talents, beauty, wealth, rank,and so forth. Disdainful behavior or treatment; arrogant of demeanor; haughty bearing.

Pride, this one is a big ouch for sure. I think of this as the "big head syndrome". When we become puffed up and are all into ourselves.

There are different definition of pride. The one we are tackling this morning is the one that has the tendency to get us into trouble. Pride, unchecked is a scary thing. You see, every thought, every action is derived from our heart. So goes our heart, so goes our life. Will you join me this morning in asking our Heavenly Father to create in us a clean heart? Be aware today when pride raises its ugly head and choose humility. In a fallen world that so desperately needs to see something different, be that difference today friends.

I'm sure you've heard, " pride comes before the fall." With humility and God's Grace we will prevail! Pride, is the only poison when swallowed, will make you healthy and whole!

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
