Last night as I was preparing to turn in for the evening, I was blessed with the sound of falling rain.

During that time of reflection, I was taken back to a much simpler time...

As a child, my grandparents lived in another state. We would typically visit once a year for the most part. Those visits formed some pretty incredible memories. Interestingly enough, I truly didn't appreciate those memories when I was younger. However, I certainly have appreciated them of late. One memory that stands out, was the rain hitting the roof at my grandmother's house when we were snuggled in bed and ready to go to sleep. That sound still today, brings me peace and joy. The cares and worries of the world were nonexistent in that moment.

Fast forward to the present, I encourage you to listen today for the sounds that bring you peace. Tune out the hustle and bustle for a moment and really listen. We have been given some pretty amazing sounds, if we only have ears to appreciate and acknowledge them.
