The ability to control one's self, in particular one's emotions and desires or the expression of them in one's behavior, especially in difficult situations.

May your day be full and purposeful Champions! May your worries be few and your hearts light.

With the rising of the sun and the quiet stillness of the morning, I'm reflecting this morning on self control. Understanding that this is also a fruit of the spirit, was special for me. Being totally transparent, through the years, I've learned that self control certainly takes practice. On so many levels, self control is needed every day. In our thoughts, and in our actions. From what we eat, to our conversations, and so on and so forth. To improve or get better at anything, it takes practice. In what ever the circumstance remember, God will provide what is needed for us to be victorious. I encourage you to take a moment and do that personal inventory in the areas of your life that could use a little more self control. You'll be amazed at what is revealed to you. Then the practice starts.

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7
