The ability to have control and motivate yourself, to stay on track and do what is right.
May grace and mercy over flow today Champions! May your thoughts produce actions that line up with God's perfect plan for your life!
Today the topic of self discipline was laid on my spirit. I had to take a moment this morning to just breathe it in. I started with clearing my mind from all of the outside noise and focusing on the revelation of what self discipline actually means to me. How it impacts my actions daily and when practiced, is a sign of growth.
Now, self discipline is different for each one of us depending on where we are in our daily walk and what we are currently dealing with. So, unfortunately there is no one size fits all. What I took away from this topic this morning was...identify first, the areas that require focus. Some examples, daily prayer, exercise, eating healthy, controlling your tongue, not over spending, those are some of many that come to mind.
Then practicing the fruits of the spirit, along with being grateful, obedient and summiting to our Creator.
Here's the thing, it's work but so rewarding.
I challenge you to walk today with a sense of awareness and accountability. To actively practice being self disciplined in your thoughts and watch the action steps that will follow.
I believe in you! Allow God freedom to work in and through you today!
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
