Small Pieces

Comparatively little in size. Small fragments broken down into little segments.
Praying your Monday is absolutely the right size for the pieces that come your way to connect today.
The stillness of the morning is one of my favorite pieces of the day. A time of reflection and prayer. (Having that little talk with Jesus)
This morning my mind was going a mile a minute. I don't know about you but it seems to me like there is always so much to be done. Some of the things I have come to realize, I put the level or degree of importance on completion.
This morning God said pieces.
Our lives are like a puzzle. We complete them one piece at a time.
<Share time> I've had days that I've planned out each minute and strategically made my to do list... then bam! I didn't accomplish one thing on that list because something superseded what was on my list. This morning I was enlightened by pieces. The piece and or pieces we think we may need to accomplish today may not be God's plan for our day. So, how would we know? Well, God provides peace and goes before us to make our paths straight. Question is, do we ask him to go before us in our daily walk? Our days, are they typically peaceful or chaotic? Are we trying to force a piece into place that really doesn't belong there?
Whatever the day brings, I challenge you as I am myself to ask God to direct my steps. To understand everything that's on that to do list doesn't have to get done immediately. To listen to that still small voice when he says what piece is next. Small pieces make up the big picture. Follow God's lead and they will line up in order and you will be at peace.
But all things should be done decently and in order.
1 Corinthians 14:40
