Getting upset over something that can't be fixed and often is something minor.
Good morning Champions! May you walk with purpose and courage today! Have a totally awesome Thursday!
Spilled Milk... asking for a little latitude this morning? Can you think back to a time where, you actually spilled a glass of milk or maybe your child did? As I was thinking about this topic this morning, it was as if I could see the glass turning over in slow motion but not being able to get there fast enough to prevent the milk from spilling. Then, it happened, the milk spilled. At that frozen moment in time, it seemed to be a pretty big deal and quite a nuisance. Here's the thing, after a few minutes of cleaning up, all was well again. Certainly not worth the labored investment of the emotional roller coaster that took place within me.
So bringing it back in, things are going to happen. Often they are very small and unfortunately we may not be able to do anything to prevent it. The key is in the way we choose to react and or handle the spilled milk.
In our strength, we manufacture the impossible in our minds. Over yes, sometimes the most minuscule of things. Here's the thing, no matter how small, no matter how trivial we may think something is in our minds, nothing is impossible with God! Maybe, that's where the phrase originated from, ( don't sweat the small stuff) God wants to be involved in our day to day. The small things as well as the large things. So the next time that glass turns over and it will, let God help with the clean up!
Milk and cookies, anyone?
Jesus looked at them and said, " with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. "
Matthew 19:26
