Setting aside a period of your day to remove unwanted material from raw vegetables in preparation for consumption.
Monday morning is here and the possibilities are endless. Praying for you and yours today Champions! May your day be thriving and robust as you begin your new week!
A simple act of food prepping for the week, brought me to this morning's topic. It never ceases to amaze me, when God uses the most minuscule tasks to get my attention. I used to buy the bag carrots. You know, the small ones...all of the same shape and size. One day as I was placing a bag of them in the refrigerator, I thought, " man these things last forever." Then additional questions over this simple bag of carrots flooded my mind. They lasted for such a long period of time, how? They were all the same size, why? Maybe, I should investigate this further? In researching the perfectly sized carrots, I found that the way they were preserved and with what they were preserved with...maybe I should forego these perfect looking little guys and invest in the real deal? From that day forward, I bought the bag of carrots that required peeling. The ones different in shape and size. A little rough looking on the outside, that required a little more work but certainly worth the effort. I share the story of the carrots to come full circle to this. Sometimes what we see on the outside isn't the best choice for us on the inside. Choosing something initially that we think is less work, may be deceiving. Choosing something that looks good but can possibly be harmful. Be careful of what looks real and appealing on the outside, it could be a mirage. Invest the time. Research the facts. Make wise choices. Peel those carrots!
But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”
