To pause, rest, and reflect.
May your Thursday bring you joy and peace within your heart and minds Champions!
This morning as the sun made its entrance for a brand new day, I smiled watching it come up over the trees in my back yard. Grateful for the day ahead and quiet mornings.
I am trying to look for the beauty in every day, there was a time when I didn't. I can remember waking up with just enough time to jump in the shower and get to where I was going. From alarm clock to out the door, I had about 30 minutes. My morning routine was basically dictating to me the temperature of my day. Looking back, it was pure craziness. Please understand if your morning is anything like mine used to be, this is totally non judgmental. Everyone has to find what works for them. I realized that the morning madness didn't set me up for a successful day. That's when I began to take time to breathe in the morning. I got up a bit earlier. This allowed me to have my quiet time with my Heavenly Father in the morning. Beginning my day with him, started my day with peace and purpose. Then after awhile something awesome started to happen... I actually with God's grace, began to run my morning instead of my morning running me. Does the unexpected still happen in the morning at our house? You betcha! However, when those moments come, they are just that moments. I've practiced over time to not allow 5 minutes of chaos to derail my entire day. I send up tons of little bullet prayers and sometimes it's just saying the sweet name of Jesus out loud. Acknowledging him, his goodness and grace. Then together we pause, I take a deep breath and just smile. Champions, take time to breathe. Allow the breath of life that is in you do its job! Have a super day!
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
