Being Responsible and demonstrating it consistently in our thinking, reasoning, attitude and actions.
Oh what a beautiful day Champions! A gift given to us to enjoy! May your day be thriving and full of what makes your purpose and passion ignite within you!
Sitting and soaking in the morning. A touch of fall in the air, brought me to seasons changing. Taking it a bit further, reminiscing back to being a child. Then, God gave me this. Child like faith with a submissive attitude and true discipleship is an amazing thing. To surrender to God with reckless abandonment. I was like yes God, I so get that. However, our morning quiet time didn't stop there. Child like faith and childish behaviors are two completely different things. Now, I was totally intrigued and he had my full attention. So here is what was placed on my heart...
When we are children, we think like children, we act like children, we react like children. However, as we grow in Christ we are to put down childish things. Stay with me, it doesn't mean to be a stick in the mud and no longer have fun. It is a level of maturity that should grow daily. Children, often have that me first attitude, with some of the attributes being... temper tantrums, spouting off at the mouth, possibly aggressive if they don't get their way, lacking discernment when it comes to things that are dangerous. The list goes on. So you can see just because we are "adults" doesn't necessarily mean we are mature. When something doesn't go your way, is your first inclination to pack up your toys and go home? Child like and childish are two very different things. I challenge you to dive into God's word. To seek the next level of maturity in Christ. Let me ask you a question that only you and God can answer. Are you in the same place today or possibly even back a step, from where you were last year with your relationship with God? I took that personal journey this morning and here's the cool part, you can start maturing right where you are. Time to put down the baby food and order a steak! Be blessed, I have nothing but love for you!
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things" (I Corinthians 13:11).
