Small, precise, meticulous, and careful attention paid to what will in the end be the finished product of something.
Monday morning is here and what a great day to be alive!
As I was gazing out the window this morning and just taking in the day. I was amazed at the little details God put in every part of his creation.
A small example is in the leaves...
Different shapes, sizes, and colors attached to a tree selected just for them. Knowing that at that precise moment they are on stage and ready to perform as they turn loose and dance to the ground. (Their final finale of the season) God shows us his attention to detail in so many miraculous ways. From the beginning of creation, to this very moment in time.
I think back to my childhood and the work my mother would put into preparing for Thanksgiving. Making a separate banana pudding for my younger brother without the bananas, because he didn't like them. Saving the beaters for my older brother because he liked to lick the bowl. Oh, and I must not forget her turkey hash that we all knew would come a couple days after Thanksgiving, from the left over turkey. Her reward was watching everyone eat the dinner she made with an abundance of love. As a child, I didn't pay much attention to the details she put in to Thanksgiving but now, with a family of my own, I certainly do. My mom now spends her Thanksgivings in heaven but her memory is forever etched in my heart. Thanks mom for teaching me the importance of the little details.
These are just a couple examples but I think it gives you an idea of the little details and the importance and impact they can have if we're only awake to notice. Take the time this week to recognize those small, precious acts of love that add up to the finished product. Your heart will thank you.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
