A special time of stillness and slumber. Though the appearance of darkness and frozen tundra is seen with the naked eye. Underground things are stirring and winter is preparing for the season to come with life and vigor as new things blossom.

Monday morning blessings to you Champions! May your day and your heart be overflowing and warm with the light of Jesus!

In our neck of the woods this weekend, winter certainly showed up in a big way! We were blessed with an ice storm that packed a pretty good punch. Many lost power and some are still without. Certainly want to pause and thank all the line men and pray for their safety as they work diligently to restore the electricity.

Circling back to the winter season itself. I had the opportunity to step outside after the storm had passed. The trees were glistening under the ice that had attached to each branch. It was quite a beautiful picture. Standing outside, I could feel the stillness. The cold of the winter touched my inner core. I reflected on the winter months, and thought about what was stirring underground that I couldn't see. It was actually intriguing. Our lives go through seasons. You might just be walking through that winter season at this moment. Take heart, trust and believe...God is at work and cultivating the next season to come. Hold tight to your faith and grab the Father's hand. Brighter days will come. Embrace the winter season knowing everything has a purpose and it will be revealed to us at the right time. That doesn't mean everything that happens to us is good Champions. However, we can find something good in everything ( if we look for it) Bundle up and trust the one who sits on the throne! Joy comes in the morning!

For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.

Song of Solomon 2: 11-12
