Today is a gift

The present. Something freely given without expecting anything in return to bring another joy.

Champions, today is a gift. Open it and use it to it's fullest!

I began my day with a simple question. Did I truly look at today as being a gift? A gift given to me? My first answer, was an immediate yes. Then God stepped in. He had a couple of questions of his own that was placed in my spirit...

Did the gift of today bring you excitement? Did the gift of today bring you joy? Did the gift of today bring you a grateful heart? Did the gift of today, make you know, deep down that you are loved? Reflecting on each question, I took some time to do a personal inventory. You see, I have to be totally transparent. I believe, on many days I take the day for granted. I expect the sun to rise and the to do list to begin. Maybe you can relate?

This morning I took a deep dive and just stopped. Each day is a gift. It is given to us to be opened and used. We allow the weight of yesterday, too often to hender the awesomeness of today. What ever we have walked through in this life, has brought us to today. Today is a gift and our Heavenly Father hand picked it for each one of us. We are here for a reason, a purpose! The question is, what are we going to do with it?

Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
