Creators of drama. Master manipulators. Having a tendency to be all about themselves and their needs being met. Very critical of themselves and others.
Praying for your Tuesday Champions! Put on that whole armor of God and face today with a boldness that only He provides while living and working in and through us!
This morning's topic might make us a tad uncomfortable. However, at one time or another we encounter the crazy makers. Truth be told, we might even have demonstrated one of these descriptions mentioned in the definition.
Prayerfully, it was only for a brief moment in time. So how do we deal with a toxic person? A good best practice is to dislike the behavior but love the person. I know, this is harder than just saying it. Now, keep in mind it doesn't mean we condone the behavior or even have to keep setting ourselves up to be in the direct line of fire that a toxic person throws our way. Cautious and careful are two great words to use. When dealing with a toxic person, be careful not to let their behavior influence you. This is the time to rise up and be confident and courageous.
Here's the thing, with compassion, love and understanding. Be the influencer. Let them see something different in you. We are called to be different and when dealing with a toxic person there is no better time to let the one living in you and in me direct our actions. If you are dealing with a person who has toxic behaviors in your life, rise above and don't allow their behavior to have a strong hold on you. Sometimes, we have to love from a distance. After all, the only one we can truly control is ourselves. We can be the difference! Have a God filled Tuesday!
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
James 3:16
