A person one looks up to because of the qualities and behaviors they have and demonstrate consistently. Such as...high moral values, respectful, humble, kind, walks with confidence and achieves their goals. Is available and accessible when needed by or to meet the needs of another.
Prayers for a Saturday morning that is spirit filled and sweet Champions!
Straight away to the question this morning...
Who is your role model? Followed with why did you pick that person? I looked at this pretty in depth this morning. I looked at the attributes of a good role model. I looked at how through out my life, people I looked up to and would say were my role models had similar characteristics and behaviors. I also was able to identify that at certain times through my journey, my role models shifted or changed based on where I was at in the growth process myself. Then I landed on this question...
Are you, I'm speaking of myself here, a good role model for others? You may want to ask yourself the same question.
Diving a little deeper, is your testimony
( again looking at my own life)
but I encourage you to do the same...
a springboard for others and not a stumbling block for them?
You see, I believe we are here for a moment in time to make a difference. We are called to serve others. Our actions, good or bad affect others. Just maybe we can make a difference for others by leading by example. The best teacher walked this earth ( for 33 years) and I might add, he was an exemplary role model. Next time you're in a tough spot, ask yourself WWJD? You can't go wrong that way! Be the role model that you once needed for someone else.
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3
